Why You Should Join

    Dear Fellow PSU Alumni:

    I am writing this letter to personally invite you to join the Penn State Alumni Association Minnesota Chapter for the 2011-2012 season. I know there are several hundred of you in the Twin Cities area and beyond that would enjoy a year of fun and camaraderie with your fellow Alumni.

    The chapter has many new activities planned for the coming year. You can locate a calendar of events by clicking on the Events tab located at the top of the page.

    For just $25 a year per household you can join the Penn State Alumni Association Minnesota Chapter and be part of the best alumni association in Minnesota. To make it easy for you to join, I have included a link to the Membership Form below. Please print, complete the requested information and send it, along with your payment to:

    With your membership fee and contribution to our annual scholarship fund, the Minnesota Chapter will be able to continue awarding a $2,000 scholarship to one or more deserving future Penn Staters.

1. Local Weatherman, Paul Douglas of WCCO is a Penn Stater(aka Douglas Paul Kruhoeffer ('80)
2. Internationally recognized, top heart surgeon, Dr. Robert(Bob)Emery is a local PSU Alum, too!
3. Rumor has it, local alum and former PSU football player, Bob Urban, accepted the Lambert Trophy on behalf of Joe Paterno several years ago when a snow storm prevented JoePa from making it to the award ceremony.
4. Larissa Minicucci was honored as Homecoming Queen during her college days.
