2011 Big Ten Alumni Softball Tournament
Help us represent Penn State strong!
The Penn State squad is getting geared up for the 2011 Big Ten Alumni Softball Tournament (co-ed). This year's tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 27 at Mendakota Park softball fields in Mendota Heights (2171 Dodd Road - just north of 494 and east of 35E). The first game has been scheduled at 9:00am. Depending on how we do will dictate other games that day; we are typically guaranteed a minimum of three games.
What we need from you:
If you are interested in playing for the PENN STATE team, please email Marilyn Binkley. Our goal is to have around 18 commitments. You do not need to commit for the entire day - if you can only make the morning or afternoon, let us know!
Other information:
- Our goal is to have fun. Accordingly, we will "come to play", meaning we will not conduct any practices between now and game day. We value your time and are looking for a one day commitment.
- Depending on the response from you and your children, friends and other support team members may be needed. Preference is given to Penn State Alumni and their significant others. Please email the names of all interested and their relationship to you so we can see how many we have.
- This has historically been one of our most fun events (for the whole Family) of the year. Plan to join in with the fun!
- Donations will be accepted for the Alan Page Foundation.
- Plans for lunch have not yet been determined - if you have a preference, let us know.
