2008 Big Ten Alumni Softball Tournament

Help us represent Penn State strong!
The Penn State squad is getting geared up for the 2008 Big Ten Alumni Softball Tournament (co-ed). This year's tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd at the TAFT Fields located in Richfield (6200 18th Avenue South - a few miles north of the Mall of America on Hwy 77). The first game has not been scheduled yet. It usually is at 9:00am. Depending on how we do will dictate other games that day; we are typically guaranteed a minimum of three games.
What we need from you:
If you are interested in playing for the PENN STATE team, please email Chris Dore. Our goal is to have around 18 commitments.
Other information:
- Our goal is to have fun. Accordingly, we will "come to play", meaning we will not conduct any practices between now and game day. We value your time and are looking for a one day commitment.
- Depending on the response from you and your children, friends and other support team members may be needed. Preference is given to Penn State Alumni and their significant others. Please email the names of all interested and their relationship to you so we can see how many we have.
- This has historically been one of our most fun events (for the whole Family) of the year. Plan to join in with the fun!
- Donations will be accepted for the Alan Page Foundation.
- Lunch will either be subs from Subway or we will go to the 5-8 Club and eat there. The lunch selection will determined on how much time is scheduled between games. A notice will be sent out later letting people know what exactly we are doing for lunch.
